UMPQUA DAIRY WINS TOP SWEEPSTAKES AWARD AT ODI
(Roseburg, OR) – Umpqua Dairy Products, Co. was a big winner at the 106th Annual Oregon Dairy Industries Conference held in Salem, Oregon on April 11 & 12, 2017.
Umpqua Dairy received the prestigious Sweepstakes Award in the Ice Cream Division judging competition. Umpqua Dairy was also awarded the runner-up Sweepstakes Award in the Cultured Products Division judging and Umpqua Dairy Chocolate Milk, Sour Cream, Vanilla Ice Cream and Chocolate Ice Cream were judged to be the best in the northwest.

Wes Roberts, Umpqua Dairy’s Ice Cream Production Supervisor, accepted the ice cream awards and Jeremy Stoffal, Milk Room Production Supervisor was on hand to accept the Milk Awards.
Dairy products are judged by an independent judging team from Oregon State University and the Dairy industry. The products are evaluated on flavor, appearance, body and texture. Sweepstakes awards are given to the single company that scores the highest overall in judging of the various product categories.
