Umpqua Dairy Issues Voluntary Recall on its Tin Roof Sundae Ice Cream Products Due to Expanded Peanut Recall
UMPQUA DAIRY ISSUED VOLUNTARY RECALL ON ITS TIN ROOF SUNDAE ICE CREAM PRODUCTS DUE TO EXPANDED PEANUT RECALL BY PEANUT CORPORATION OF AMERICA (PCA)
Umpqua Dairy Products, Co of Roseburg, OR is announcing a voluntary recall of certain lot codes of its Tin Roof Sundae Ice Cream, Premium Lite Tin Roof Sundae Ice Cream, and Pints of Tin Roof Sundae Ice Cream, because they have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. The affected products were distributed to retail grocery stores throughout Oregon, Washington and Northern California.
The following 1.75 qt products with the sell by date codes listed below are subject to this recall. The sell by code is listed on the bottom of each carton.

No known illnesses have been reported to date in connection with these products. The recall was initiated after it was determined that the peanut product received from Pecan Deluxe Candy Company was manufactured by Peanut Corporation of America. Umpqua Dairy Products, Co. has informed FDA of its actions and is fully cooperating with the Agency.
Umpqua Dairy requests that if consumers have any of these products in their home freezers with these code dates, they should discard the product and send the bottom with code date information back to Umpqua Dairy for a full refund.
