JOHN HARVEY PROMOTED TO DIRECTOR OF PLANT OPERATIONS

(Roseburg, OR) Umpqua Dairy Products, Co. has promoted John Harvey to Director of Plant Operations. John has been with Umpqua Dairy for 26 years. He makes the transition to his new position with a wealth of dairy production experience. For the last 26 years, Harvey has worked in Umpqua Dairy’s cultured products production department, with the last 9 years as the Cottage Cheese/Sour Cream Room Supervisor. He also has experience in mix room operations, inventory control and employee supervision.

Born and raised in the Roseburg area, John worked for Harvey Logging Company, and in the machine shop for Kronner Medical prior to joining the Umpqua Dairy team. He has been married to his wife Jenny for 24 years and has three kids, Brodie (22), Blake (20) and Dylan (15).

John will be responsible for overall plant production quality and safety. In addition to maintaining our already high quality standards and GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices), John will be instrumental in implementing our new Safe Quality Foods (SQF)Program to assure our customers that our dairy products have been processed, prepared and handled according to the highest possible standards.
